And though young, it's clear that Anna Kournikova is set to take fashion's center stage. Bringing back the "I Dream of Jeannie" navel look, admirers no longer have to wonder whether she has an 'inny' or an 'outty'. One can just exhort her to wear that little bit extra sunscreen.

And so, as we tread towards the next millennium, one imagines even the late Ted Tinling tingling in anticipation of fashions yet to come. And though you might doubt 'image is everything', still, it's fun to watch.
